Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions/answers that we are frequently asked. If you have additional questions that aren't covered here, please feel free to give us a call at (574)259-8387.

  1. What are the Hospital hours?

    Our hospital is open evenings, weekends and major holidays. Monday through Thursday we open at 6 pm and stay open until 7:30 am the next morning. On Fridays we open at 6 pm and do not close again until Monday morning at 7:30 am. Major holidays include Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year's Day.

  2. Do I need to have an appointment?
     
    No. We work like a normal Emergency Room. Patients are seen on a first come, first seen basis with critical patients seen first. Due to this we can have a several hour wait on some weekends and holidays. We would prefer to have you call us before coming in. This helps us know what is coming if a patient needs emergency surgery and to prepare if you have a critical patient that needs seen.

  3. What forms of payment do you accept?

    Cash, Care Credit, Debit cards and MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express

  4. Can I make payments?

    Payment is required at the time of service.

  5. Do you board pets?
     
    No.

          6.  Can I visit my pet?

          Yes.  We do ask that you call in advance to assure that there will be someone available to talk with you.  Visitation hours end at Midnight and begin at 9 am on weekends.

 

           7.  Do you accept donations on behalf of my pet?

            With the advent of social media, we have been confronted with the awkward situation of multiple people calling to donate money toward a persons bill.  We cannot accept this form of

            payment for MULTIPLE reasons.  If donations are made on your behalf, one person will have to be responsible and donations should be directed to that person.

 

           8.  When do I have to pick up my pet?

           A pick up time will be scheduled for you before you leave.  We do close at 7:30 am and all patients must be picked up prior to this time.
